Mikes 7s

Today we finally had a tournament we have been waiting ages for a tournament as the last one didnt happen because it rained so much.We played 5 games and won 4 and drew 1 with Rangers.We were waiting to see if we were going to be in the final,we had equal points with Rangers and Wanderers. They had prize giving before the final match and then Rangers and us Nelson had to flip a coin to see if we were in the final,Rangers won the toss so they played in the final against Wanderers,Rangers won 5-3.WE were guttered we didnt losae a game so our coach said we were winners anyway.Our coach gave us all a gold medal engraved with the year and a fantastic effort on it,i also won a beanie.We had a awesome day.Mum and dad took us afterwards for a swim at the aquatic centre.We had a great day.

The sound of music

At school we did a topic called "The sound of music",while Mrs Curnow travelled the world,we had a relieving teacher called Mrs Niwa,she had a fantastic idea,first we went to the museum and looked at music intruments ,then we made our own out of clay,bamboo and meat bones.The bone ones were fun as we had to boil up meat bones get all the marrow out of them and then dry them and sand them till they were white,we drilled holes in them so they were like a whistle and practised blowing in them they are called koauaus.I can play mine really well.We made soup out of the stock and invited our parents to come to a lunch time concert.We also made boxes for our instruments and lined them with material.

Co operation!!!

We arent to good at co operating at the moment with eachother ,on Saturday we had a terrible day together,my little brother is so bossy and doesnt listen to me and i get so angry with him ,we have lots of arguements over how soccer should be played,mum was busy doing lots of jobs so we went and picked lots of lemons and made lemon drink for dad because he the man flu.It is a terrible flu that only men get.Mum said we co operated so well and the lemonade tasted great.Hayden

Award night

Mum and dad have just done a 6 week parent course.On Sundays we have a family meeting and awards,someone gets presentated with a medal,this week i got it because i am always super organised in the morning ,iam all dressed,breakfast made,room tidy, blinds pulled,lunch made and packed for the day by 7.30am.I have been helping heaps more too.We have a list of family rules now and i made the most effort to follow the rules.The medal reciever gets to be the leader for the week.

This is my hand made tech deck,i really wanted to buy one but had no money so i made one ,i can do cool tricks with it.

Is the bus coming

Last week we caught the double decker bus into the Eco fest mum took these shots while we were waiting.If you havent noticed i think i am very cool because i lost my two front teeth!!!
